I got a bachelor´s degree in Modern Languages at Bolivariana University in Medellín. After completing my studies, I started working as a language instructor in universities and technological institutes, and language centers. The ability to gain social and communication skills that are necessary in any field of work was made possible by all of these quite valuable experiences. These skills enable me to contribute positively to a Spanish teaching relationship.
Since 2015, I have specialized in teaching Spanish to foreigners online. Currently, I work as a virtual Spanish tutor in a virtual Spanish academy and as an independent online Spanish teacher for foreign students.
Teaching Spanish online allows me to share my culture and language with others, and I enjoy discussing ideas and experiences with individuals from various cultures, both of which are beneficial to the student´s social and cultural development as well as my own.
In my classes, I employ a range of efficient methods of instruction, but I mostly use the communicative approach. In my classes, students practice all 4 skills, but speaking and listening get extra focus because that's what the students are most interested in.
I make a concerted effort to design courses that let students meet the interests that motivated them to start learning the language in the first place. I design my classes with an emphasis on the various communicative needs that everyday life implies because students seem particularly interested in being able to communicate in the situations that they would have to face in their daily routines, whether they need to interact with Spanish speakers in their social or professional settings, plan to live in a Spanish-speaking country, or want to take a vacation in a Spanish-American country. In
my classes, I place a high value on integrating interactive and online resources to assist students in learning about and putting self-study techniques into practice.
You will learn grammatical structures, vocabulary, idioms, and pronunciation in my classes. Similar to how you will start to understand the culture from the work of many subjects and circumstances.
